I start small and hard
but warm up my belly and . . .
I'm soft and fluffy!

It opens to speak,
yet no sound reaches my ears,
my eyes hear its words.
Brief entires about,
Right now thru Haiku--
our family and what we're
But, future entires might change,

As I helped run the homework club a 4th grader came in with an assignment to write 3 Haiku and 2 Limericks Poems. Needless to say I was more excited about this than her additional math homework, but I helped her get the math done first anyways. I obviously couldn't write her Haiku for her, but we did some brainstorming together and reviewed the rules, then I wrote these riddle poems while she came up with some nice ones about the ocean and a cat. I also wrote a limerick "There once was a fat bumblebee, who wanted to fly 'cross the sea. But if he fell down, he knew he would drown, so he stayed in his hive and drank tea."
